Mary’s Step One Success Story

As a full-time elementary school teacher, new Step One Foods customer Mary is busy and constantly on-the-go. 

“Since I teach kindergarten through third grade, I try to be as fun, perky and outgoing as possible,” she says. But after she was prescribed a statin medication by her doctor, Mary found it hard to be fun or active.

“After just 3 to 4 weeks of taking the statins, I felt like I was 80 years old,” she says. “I had so many body aches and pains. It hurt to get out of bed. It was awful.”

Refusing to go through life with constant muscle aches and pains, Mary decided to take matters into her own hands.

“In October, my LDL cholesterol was 311,” she says. “In May, it was 265! I couldn’t believe it and I am empowered to continue on with the program.”
