John's Step One Success Story

John's Step One Success Story

Over the last 10 years, John has struggled to keep his cholesterol levels in the normal range, even with a healthy diet. After a visit with his physician, where it was recommended that he take medications to help bring his LDL below 100.

“I have always been health conscious and I want to do all I can to have good health as I get older,” he said. “That said, I don’t want to take additional prescribed medication to accomplish that [lowering my cholesterol]. I wanted to do it naturally, through eating right and exercising.”

This prompted John to start researching natural ways to lower cholesterol and during his search he discovered Step One Foods.

“I read the information on the Step One Foods website and it made sense. I also read many of the testimonials,” he said. “It seemed that a lot of people were having success with it and it had a money back guarantee, so I thought why not try it?”

After following the Step One program for a little over 3 months, John saw considerable improvements to his cholesterol numbers, including a 32 point reduction in total cholesterol!

Blood test before Step One Foods:

Total Cholesterol: 189

LDL: 121

Triglycerides:122

Blood test after Step One Foods:

Total Cholesterol: 157

LDL: 99

Triglycerides: 117

“I never thought that I had bad cholesterol, since my numbers were under 200,” he said. “I was previously told that as long as my total cholesterol was lower than 200, it was ok.

I changed health plans about 2 years ago and my new primary care physician was concerned that my LDL was high... I guess it should be lower than 100.”

With his LDL finally in the normal range, John was impressed with how easy he was able to accomplish this with Step One Foods.

“For me it was not enough to omit cholesterol producing foods (meat and dairy) from my diet,” he said. “Two years ago, I experimented with going vegan for about eight months to improve my numbers. I was very strict and didn’t cheat on the diet. After doing that, I took a blood test and my numbers came down very slightly. I learned that Step One Foods contains specific nutrients that help eliminate bad cholesterol from the body. I have since incorporated a little bit of meat and dairy in my plant based diet and with Step One my numbers are much much lower.”

With his cholesterol levels in the normal range, John is now focused on reincorporating exercise into his daily routine, continuing Step One Foods and eating a healthy, balanced diet.

“I wasn’t exercising at all during the 60 days of the Step One Foods trial,” he said. “Not because I didn’t want to, but because I was recovering from a foot injury. Recently I am improving enough to where I can ride my bike again. I am starting slow but am able to ride 4 to 5 miles a day. It feels great to be exercising again. I hope this will improve my numbers even more.”

Although a skeptic at first, John is very happy to have found Step One Foods and even happier that his numbers are in the normal range.

“I read the testimonials and it all sounded good, but you know what they say, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is,” he said. “I really didn’t expect the LDL numbers to drop so much (22 points). I am very happy. Step One Foods is easy-to-do, has no side effects and it works.”

Try John’s favorite Step One Products: “I really enjoy the Dark Chocolate Walnut Bar, Peanut Butter Bar, Dark Chocolate Crunch Bar and the Anytime Sprinkle. I like to use the Anytime Sprinkle during breakfast. I use it in a healthy multi grain low sugar cereal. I add fresh blackberries, blueberries, walnuts, cinnamon and unsweetened almond milk. I eat one of the bars as an afternoon snack. I actually look forward to that because they taste really good.”
