Craig's Step One Success Story

For more than 5 years, Craig battled with high cholesterol. 

“I tried changing my diet and exercising, but none of that seemed to work to help lower my cholesterol,” he said. 

Then, a year ago, he decided to try Step One Foods, but wasn’t consistent. 

“I had been dealing with high cholesterol for so long, I think I was a bit skeptical when I first tried Step One Foods and that’s why I didn’t truly commit to the program at first,” he said. 

Then after having his annual checkup this year, Craig decided to get serious about lowering his cholesterol and losing weight.

“When I had my checkup, my cholesterol had not improved at all,” he said. “My numbers were in the 220 to 230 range and weren't going up or down, but nothing was helping.”

So, he decided to recommit to Step One Foods and after 30 days of eating Step One Foods twice a day, his cholesterol dropped 40 points, from 220 to 180.

“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I was in the normal range for the first time in many years and my triglycerides improved pretty dramatically, too.”

In incorporating Step One Foods into his diet, Craig finds himself eating less processed foods and candy. 

“Step One really motivated me to eat less sodium, processed foods and sugars,” he said. “I felt the difference in eating Step One Foods, which is just whole, natural foods, so I began eating less TV dinners and instead of grabbing a candy bar in the evening, I started eating a Step One bar instead.”

Due to this, in addition to seeing his cholesterol and triglycerides improve, Craig is also losing weight. Plus, in general, he just feels better.

“The change I’ve seen with Step One Foods has been incredible,” he said. “I saw the change – the numbers don’t lie. I know Step One has helped me so I tell people about it and how simple the program is. All I had to do was eat things that tasted good… I didn’t suffer in any way because I am eating real, good food.”

Craig plans to continue using Step One Foods and is looking forward to losing 20 pounds and maintaining his cholesterol levels.
